The operating rate of Chinese tire companies has dropped sharply

Recently, some institutions conducted a survey on the operating rate of Chinese tire companies in March 2022.

The data shows that the weekly operating rate of semi-steel tire sample enterprises is 63.12%, down 4.71% month-on-month and 9.22% year-on-year;

The weekly operating rate of all-steel tire sample companies was 59.09%, down 4.85% month-on-month and 18.26% year-on-year.

One of the main reasons for the decline in the tire operating rate is the spread of the epidemic in recent times, especially in Weihai, Zibo, and Qingdao in Shandong, where there have been epidemics of varying degrees.

At present, tire companies in the region have arranged to stop and limit production. Some tire factories have implemented closure measures to actively cooperate with epidemic prevention and control.
